Phantoms of the Pier
The curtain arose once again on another memorable Haunted Weekend event.
This time it was sunny Cromer on March 7th - 9th, just before the blustery gales hit the country. If you expected to be blown away that weekend and attended the event it would have been a double whammy.
The weekend started in earnest at the Hotel De Paris on the Cromer seafront, where guests checked into comfortable rooms and enjoyed a good meal. Then the fun started! Guests went round the hotel in groups of roughly six, utilising spirit communication tools such as table, glass, planchette, scrying, lock off cameras and dowsing/sensing. The evening progressed steadily with many achieving various degrees of communication with spirit and some received personal messages through from loved ones. The highlight of the evening had to be an experiment with the table, when one group decided to ask spirit if they could move the table without their hands touching it (as it was felt that the spirit presence was very strong). They all on the count of three lifted their hands off the table and a second later the table proceeded to make its own way towards one of the group. There were many ashen faces coming out of that room lol.
The following night, after another hearty meal, the event was transported to the theatre on Cromer pier. The groups were allowed to have a wander of the theatre to do some personal investigating, which brought forth a very interesting episode with an EMF meter as it seemed that a spirit was using it to communicate with a group member and answering her questions as would a dowsing pendulum with yes/no answers (yes=loud meter activity/no=no activity). The groups then went round the same experiments as the night before, which brought forth much more communication than the night before. The mirror scrying in particular showed consistency in the images that people were seeing, out of 36 guests 32 of them reported seeing the same images and picked up on the same emotions that seemed to be present.
Once the curtain had finally fallen on the evenings events, we were treated to one more final bow from the spirit world. As we were all exiting from the premises a cupboard door decided to open then close and open again, now that’s an encore.

Rooms 204/206 Hotel:
New batteries in walkie talkies and thermometers being drained of power. Much orb activity reported by guests with unusual reports of flashing and twinkling orbs. Temperature drops reported. Sound of breath reported. Many reported feeling tingling in their bodies, mainly legs.
Cromer Pier Theatre.
Upstairs Seating:
Temp fluctuations of 11 degrees reported. When spirit asked to drop temperature the thermometers showed temperature drops. Thermometers drained of power then 2 minutes later came back on. When dowsing guests reported a male spirit in his 20's called will. Apparently liked the showgirls. When asked to make a noise the nearest door clicked every time asked and also a reported temperature drop when spirit asked to drop temperature. One guest complained of feeling sick and a headache.
Front of Stage:
Once again temperature drops of upto 15 degrees when spirit asked to do so. EMF meter had large fluctuations when spirit asked to affect it. EMF meter activating by itself without button being pushed. Reports of batteries being drained from cameras. When dowsing a male pressence was picked up of about 30yrs old, name beginning with R. This was a distinguised gentleman with a moustache who liked to sit in seat G on row 12. Two guests reported a pressure on the forehead. Many guests reported seeing a mist near the front row and a scent of roses was also picked up here. One guest reported seeing a child run from the back of the room towards the stage (no children were in attendance).
Backstage:
Average temperature drop of 5 degrees reported, but when spirit was asked to drop temperature it dropped by 24 degrees. Batteries on cameras being drained. When dowsing pressence of female spirit picked up who liked to sing there but was not a performer and had not died there. Afterwards the theatre staff confirmed that many staff had indeed heard a female voice when no one else was there.
Dressing Rooms:
Apart from consistentcy of images picked up many guests reported picking up on feelings of depression and some suffered headaches. Auras were cleansed on those affected.
