SPIRITUAL AWARENESS

What is Spiritual Awareness?
Spiritual awareness or spiritual awakening is the process by which we begin to explore our own being in order to become whole and reunite our spirits with our physical bodies in a commonality of purpose. No matter whether you are just starting on your search or have long been a traveler on the spiritual awareness path, the answers you seek have always been with you. Perhaps in your seeking spiritual awareness you have been seduced by a process and simply not allowed yourself time to become aware.
We've all reached a time in our lives where soul searching has begun to take center stage. We are discovering the importance of finding our self worth, our true identity and deep spiritual fulfillment.
We know where were headed but we just dont know how to get there.
There are thousands of different types of resources we can choose from to begin our search such as support groups, metaphysical workshops, books, audio cassettes and even attend a seminar or two with a favorite spiritual lecturer.
However, even though these resources are out there, it seems we keep searching. Something is just missing and what it is is a link between these external things and our inner personal self. So many of us then turn to religion to find our spiritual enlightenment and ask that we be given guidance as laid out in that religions belief structure. But it is best to put aside all restrictions and limitations and allow yourself to simply be.
In this moment, now look neither back nor forward but allow yourself to see your spirit. It is you, there, awaiting your rediscovery.

Spiritualism! A different kind of Awareness!
Spiritualism is a rational religion based on the proven knowledge that man's spirit survives physical death. This has led to a philosophical and scientific approach new to traditional religious faith.
Spiritualist philosophy contains neither dogma nor creed and it is discussed rather than preached. There is an increasing tendency in these times to think and act collectively and Spiritualism is a religion matching this trend.
It affirms that man's spirit survives physical death and enters a Spirit world which surrounds and interpenetrates our material life. It asserts that the truth of this statement can be demonstrated under the right conditions when communication can and does take place between the worlds of spirit and earthly beings. This communication is only possible through individuals who have what are known as mediumistic abilities and who are known as mediums.
Spiritualists stress that the right conditions must prevail for communication to take place and that the prime condition is that there is a spirit person there willing to communicate. It is not generally understood that communication cannot take place unless the spirit are willing to do so.
This is usually demonstrated through the mind of a medium or or spiritually aware/sensitive person and can be by Clairvoyance (the medium sees the spirit) Clairaudience (the medium hears the spirit) or Clairsentience (the medium senses the presence and the thoughts of the spirit).
Nowadays, the largest Spiritualist organization is the Spiritualists National Union (SNU) based in the UK. It is recognised by H. M. Government as the legally established religious body for Spiritualism.
Originally intended to work only in Britain, lately it has been receiving
more and more affiliations from overseas and is becoming somewhat
more internationalist in its membership. It has an extensive education
and training programme and its philosophy is based on Seven Principles,
which do not lay down rules but encourage people to discuss and think
about their attitude to life.
The Seven Principles of Spiritualism
These Seven Principles, which act as guidelines for the development of a personal philosophy of how to live ones life, are stated as follows:-
The Fatherhood of God.
The Brotherhood of Man.
The Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of Angels.
The continuous existence of the human soul.
Personal responsibility.
Compensation and retribution hereafter for all the good and evil deeds done on earth.
Eternal progress open to every human soul.
Influenced by these Principles as well as its scientific and philosophical
ramifications, for many people Spiritualism has become more than just
a religion; it has become a way of life.

The thoughts of a very Spiritual Lady:
DO IT ANYWAY
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered:
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives:
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and some true enemies:
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you:
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight:
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous:
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow:
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough:
Give the world the best you have anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it's between you and God:
It was never between you and them anyway. Mother Teresa.

(Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. 1910 - 1997)
"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today.
Let us begin."
